Working Groups
The Constituent Working Groups are established to achieve the various mission and objectives of COPFA. Constituent working groups may be added or removed subject to agreement of COPFA committee members.
Each Constituent Working Group will be co-chaired by at least one COPFA committee member. Other members of COPFA (outside the committee) are also eligible to be members of the constituent working groups.
1) Promotion and Advocacy

Advocate - Showcase prominent Chinese private fund managers to the global market

Communicate - Present views of COPFA members to various external stakeholders such as media, investors, academics, policymakers, and industry associations

Regulatory liaison - Educate and inform regulators and stakeholder about the issues of the Chinese private fund industry

2) Policy

Trends - Monitor and analyze the latest developments and trends in the regulatory, legal and tax environment that affect the Chinese overseas private fund industry

Regulatory - Engage with relevant regulators and industry bodies such as the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) - feedback on policies, rules and regulations

Representation - Advocate and promote the interests and views of the COPFA members and the industry as a whole

Communicate - Educate and inform the COPFA members and the public about the policy issues and challenges facing the industry

3) Competency, Ethics & Governance

Research - Conduct research on the competency, ethics and governance issues and best practices in the Chinese overseas private fund industry. Publish guidelines and frameworks in competency, ethics and governance

Events - Workshops and training programs to help improve skills and knowledge in competency, ethics and governance

Standards - Advocate and uphold the highest standards of competency, ethics and governance among the COPFA members and the industry

Awareness - Educate and inform the COPFA members and the public about the competency, ethics and governance matters and expectations in the industry

4) LPs and Allocators

Collaboration - To drive collaboration and communication amongst LPs, allocators, GPs and managers

Sharing - Leverage the COPFA platform to drive exchange of ideas, industry trends and investment themes while being available to COPFA members for networking opportunities

Events - Host regular exchange sessions and meet ups for LPs and allocators and support the annual COPFA event

Representation - Facilitate and foster the adoption and integration of innovative and technological solutions and platforms

Communicate - Educate and inform the COPFA members and the public about the infrastructure, innovation and technology issues and opportunities facing the industry
